Our Story

Coast and Key is an art-centered business, focusing on paintings and digital art, but also specializing in jewelry and other miscellaneous items. What started as an idea during a chemistry lecture in 2019 became a Facebook page, then an eBay account, and finally a small business. We travel around the Delmarva area at various festivals to share our products in-person in addition to our website. Our mission is to bring joy to our customer's faces, and through our artwork, glorify God.  "The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork." Psalm 19:1

Each piece--whether it be artwork, jewelry, stickers, or any one of our seasonal items--has a story behind it. Unlike big-name retailers, we do not flippantly add paint to a canvas or beads to a string, but craft our products purposely with care and precision.  Our paintings are hand-painted, our bracelets individually strung, sea glass jewelry hand-wrapped and personally combed, and our digital art hand-drawn without the assistance of AI. When you buy from us, you can rest assured that we prepare our products with the utmost care and quality.

About Me

Olivia Figueroa

I have been drawing and doing everything "artsy" for 21 years and am continuously perfecting my craft. Originally I started painting with oil paint but moved on to several other forms of media in which I have extensive experience such as drawing, painting, sculpting, crocheting, resin art, wood burning, digital art, jewelry making, and more. In 2022 I added graphic design to my repertoire after completing a professional program, and have since designed several logos, websites, apps, and icons. Additionally, I've begun to offer private art lessons through Coast and Key, and group lessons at the Dover Art League separately. You can find more information about my private art lessons on my "Additional Services" page. In my free time, I am either spending time with my husband and our cats, painting or hiking--with a coffee of course.
