Our Story
Coast and Key is an art-centered business, focusing on paintings and digital art, but also specializing in jewelry and other miscellaneous items. What started as an idea during a chemistry lecture in 2019 became a Facebook page, then an eBay account, and finally a small business. We travel around the Delmarva area at various festivals to share our products in-person in addition to our website. Our mission is to bring joy to our customer's faces, and through our artwork, share the story of our Creator through our illustrations of his creation. Each piece--whether it be artwork, jewelry, stickers, or any one of our seasonal items--has a story behind it. Unlike big-name retailers, we do not flippantly add paint to a canvas or beads to a string, but craft our products purposely with care and precision. Our paintings are hand-painted, our bracelets individually strung, sea glass jewelry hand-wrapped and personally combed, and our digital art hand-drawn without the assistance of AI. When you buy from us, you can rest assured that we prepare our products with the utmost care and quality.

About Me:
I have been drawing and doing everything "artsy" ever since I can remember and am continuously perfecting my craft. I have experience drawing, painting, sculpting, resin art, wood burning, digital art, jewelry making, and more. In 2022 I added graphic design to my repertoire after completing a professional program, and have since designed several logos, websites, apps, and icons. In addition to Coast and Key, I also teach digital art classes at the Dover Art League. In my free time, I am either painting or hiking--all with a coffee of course.

Why I do what I do:
I love art--the process of creating something new is both exciting and therapeutic and it's where my passion lies. I put a little bit of myself into each product, especially the paintings. It hurts a little to see them go, remembering the long hours spent designing, sketching, sometimes re-sketching, and trusting "the process." But the knowledge that what I've made will bring someone joy is worth it.

What I believe:
I believe that every human is made in the image of God (Genesis 1:26-27) that there is evidence of a God who created something out of nothing (Psalm 19:1, Amos 4:13, Romans 1:19-22) who loves us when we don't love him, and who died and rose again to save those who believe and trust in him (Romans 5:8,10, Ephesians 2:1-10, 1 Corinthians 12-20, Acts 17:22-39, John 1:12, 1-18, 14:6-11)
